Multiply a fraction by a whole number.
Solve fraction multiplication number stories.
Write a number model to solve multi-step division number stories.
Identify and continue shape and number stories.
Solve decimal number stories.
Create a line plot and answer questions about the data.
Language Arts
Currently we are learning to compare different accounts of topics and to synthesize information from different sources. We are continuing to summarize nonfiction and to identify different text structures that authors use to organize information. We will be writing a text dependent analysis essay next week on a fictional passage.
Science/Social Studies
We are learning about the weather. We have identified the layers of the atmosphere and are able to describe what happens there. We can differentiate between weather and climate. We are currently learning about the tools used in forecasting weather and will create an info-graphic about a weather tool of our choice.
